Join InnoScot Health for its final webinar before a summer pause, entitled ‘From Complexity to Clarity: Scotland’s health and social care ecosystem deconstructed for early innovators'

The free to join session will offer Scotland’s budding health and social care innovators ‘lunch and learn’ insights on how to map the right collaborative support for best navigating their ideas from development to commercial success.

On Tuesday 26 May, InnoScot Health’s Head of Innovation Commercialisation, Gillian Henderson is urging early-stage forward thinkers – including those in their final year of training or first year of qualified practice — to better understand how to navigate the complexities of the country’s health and social care network.

Gillian will be joined by guest speakers from the Digital Health & Care Innovation Centre (DHI) — experts in digital health and social care, formed from a collaboration between the Glasgow School of Art and the University of Strathclyde.

The webinar will be an opportunity to:

  • Learn about how best to navigate Scotland’s often complex innovation ecosystem
  • Understand ecosystem strengths as well as the structural gaps which to barriers experienced by innovators and what they mean for NHS Scotland
  • Get inspired by early-stage innovation support that’s available to help nurses, doctors, midwives, allied health professionals, scientists, and more turn ideas into reality

Presenting on behalf of DHI will be Digital Health Expert, Yazmin Cáceres-Fegrero, and Head of Research and Skills, Dr Sanna Rimpiläinen. Along with Senior Business Innovation Manager, Dr Abigail Lyons, they recently unveiled a report, ‘Navigating Scotland's Digital Health and Social Care Innovation Ecosystem’ which notes that “Scotland envisions leading digital health, yet the innovator's path remains a labyrinth”.

The accessible, bitesize sessions are hosted on Microsoft Teams, regularly providing a platform for inspiring guest speakers whilst allowing InnoScot Health staff to share their deep knowledge and insights on innovation. Pre-submit your questions for our panel discussion to [email protected].
