
CPD Course on Management and Adoption of Healthcare Technology
The Medical Device Manufacturing Centre (MDMC) is pleased to invite applications to join their two-day hybrid Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course starting Thursday 27 November, produced alongside InnoScot Health
The course is held in a hybrid form (online through Teams, while in-person at Heriot-Watt University). delivered jointly with InnoScot Health, Medtronic, Citizen Medtech, and the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Devices for Dignity. It has been developed with support from Tay Health Tech via the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) Place Based Impact Acceleration Account (PBIAA) Funding.
Places on the course are limited to help ensure good interaction among participants, so early application is encouraged.

The CPD course provides an overview of medical device regulatory affairs and how their integration fits with the management of healthcare technology and the processes involved in adopting and monitoring medical devices.
The course aims to provide SMEs, Healthcare Professionals and Researchers with an understanding of how to liaise with the medical sector such that a higher uptake of innovative medical devices can be achieved within care settings.
This course will be delivered in a hybrid form across two sessions, running 9:30am – 4:30pm on Thursday 27 November and Thursday 4 December.
