
Decontamination in Medical Devices: Standards, practice, innovation
The Medical Device Manufacturing Centre (MDMC) is hosting a workshop on Wednesday 6 May exploring decontamination, sterilisation, and best practices in MedTech
This one-day event will bring together researchers , clinicians, and industry partners to explore the latest challenges, innovations, and best practices in medical device decontamination. The programme has been developed to support MedTech companies in understanding how decontamination considerations impact device design, manufacturing, and regulatory approval.
InnoScot Health's Head of Regulatory Affairs, Professor Elaine Gemmell will be speaking at the event.

Aimed primarily at companies involved in medical device development, this workshop is designed for industry participants. A limited number of places are also available for academics and researchers with an interest in the topic.
The event will run from 9:00am to 4:30pm and will be held in person at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh EH14 4AS (in room EMG83 of Earl Mountbatten building). Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
