MedTech regulatory readiness through an investor lens – bridging the gap to decisive competitive advantage
Join Tay Health Tech and InnoScot Health this autumn for a medical device regulation workshop which invites MedTech innovators to learn how to marry product compliance with commercial success, helping to accelerate market entry, build trust, and drive stronger revenue
The deep dive in-person event – entitled ‘MedTech regulatory readiness through an investor lens – bridging the gap to decisive competitive advantage’, Wednesday 4 November, 10am-4pm – is set to bring together medical device innovators, regulatory experts, and the investment community to offer cutting-edge knowledge and valuable insights at the COSLA Conference Centre in Edinburgh on Wednesday 4 November.
Organisers say it will provide the practical knowledge and support required to bridge a significant gap in understanding which is routinely encountered – making the leap from securing regulatory approval to gaining investor confidence. They believe that it is vital to see issues from the point of view of the investment community, with the workshop offering first hand experience of how MedTech investors assess regulatory preparedness during screening, valuation, and due diligence.

Following on from the success of a similar event held in Dundee in June, the day is expected to attract a wide-ranging MedTech sector audience from across Scotland and beyond.
The workshop has been organised by the Tay Health Tech initiative, funded with the Engineering & Physical Research Council (EPSRC), in collaboration with leading healthcare innovation body InnoScot Health.
Sessions will be taking place across the day, including a ‘Refresher on Regulatory Landscape for Medical Devices and Implications on Business Plan’ presented by Elaine Gemmell, Head of Regulatory Affairs at InnoScot Health.
