The i4i Programme is a translational research funding scheme aimed at de-risking early-to-late stage medical devices, in vitro diagnostics and high-impact patient-focused digital health technologies for ultimate use in the NHS or social care settings.

The expected focus of an i4i PDA project is product development towards its eventual clinical application or use in social care and/or the clinical development of a laboratory-validated technology or intervention.


Research proposals may address any area of unmet need and may include the real-world evaluation of technology. Projects must demonstrate a clear pathway towards clinical adoption and commercialisation.
