InnoScot Health webinar set to share important insights on funding acceleration for innovators
NHS partner InnoScot Health will be holding the second in its series of informative webinars later this month for innovators looking to enhance their knowledge of potential funding channels
The accessible, bitesize ‘lunch & learn’ sessions are being hosted on Microsoft Teams and will continue to see InnoScot Health staff regularly sharing their deep knowledge and insights on the innovation journey, while also providing a platform for inspiring guest speakers.
The second interactive webinar, entitled UK MedTech Funding Support, will be led by the organisation’s Innovation Manager Fiona Schaefer. She will be joined by Ian Murray, Programme Manager at Scottish Enterprise, who will lend his insights on strategic investment and Terry O’Neill, Head of Health at Innovate UK KTN, who will discuss the UK funding landscape.
The free to join webinar takes place on Wednesday 29 March from 12 until 12.45pm. Please use the link below to register and you will receive details on how to join the session:
Dr Schaefer said: “During our second webinar, we will explore various funding programmes and discuss how the right support can accelerate your journey from innovation to commercialisation while offering practical advice on how to best go about that.
“I will discuss early-stage funding, InnoScot Health’s role in that process, and the support that we can offer. We are also grateful to Ian Murray, an expert in strategic investment, for lending us his insights, and to health lead Terry O'Neill for his analysis of the current UK funding landscape and his thoughts on how to find the right funding partners.
"It is altogether set up to be a useful, instructive deep dive into this area.”
Mr Murray said: “I’m looking forward to this opportunity to speak about my work in Scottish Enterprise’s Entrepreneurship and Investment team, while offering advice to those at various stages of the innovation journey – particularly on how to develop strategic scale up plans, create investor ready propositions, and raise appropriate growth investment.
“It’s vital that great ideas from NHS health boards receive the right support and are successfully prepared if they are to have the best chance of getting to that all-important next level of development and growth.”
The session will be rounded off by an opportunity to ask questions of the speakers. Pre submit your queries for our panel discussion to [email protected].
