SCRAM™ portfolio expands to new markets

Tactical SCRAM™, Rx SCRAM™ and Tactical Rx SCRAM™ are now available for pre-order prior to official launch in the autumn

Three new products have been added to the SCRAM™ portfolio, extending the established benefits of the system into new markets and medical situations.

SCRAM™ (Structure CRitical Airway Management) offers an innovative solution to emergency airway and drug management; enhancing performance by reducing error, time to intervention and cognitive load.

Launched back in 2014, it is currently utilised by high-performance teams in both the pre-hospital and hospital environments, with the Adult SCRAM™ Bag demonstrating a 29% reduction in time taken to prepare the equipment in a recent clinical trial.

The new products have been developed in collaboration between Paul Swinton, Air Ambulance Paramedic with the Scottish Ambulance Service and co-inventor of the Adult SCRAM™ Bag; OpenHouse Products, commercial partner for the SCRAM™ line, and SHIL.

Here we take a look at the new range:

Tactical SCRAM™

Adapted and refined for the military market; recognising commonality in the need to administer quick, safe and effective treatments in high pressure, hostile environments. This Emergency Airway Bag provides a structured reproducible approach to emergency airway management in the tactical environment and was developed using the principles of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) and Battlefield Advanced Trauma Life Support (BATLS). It features:

Rx SCRAM™ and Tactical Rx SCRAM™

Adapted to emergency situations, where a simple and standardised emergency anaesthesia protocol may improve the safety and effectiveness of the procedure. Rx SCRAM™ is an innovative emergency airway drug bag.
