We Assess
Identifying the innovations of tomorrow
Healthcare innovation is not only about disruptive technological developments like artificial intelligence; big data; or digital tools. It also spans simple, effective, everyday ideas.
The common theme is that to be successful there must be a market and demand for the product
or service; the idea must be novel, better or more efficient than existing options, and it must be
technically and financially feasible. This robust evaluation of ideas is critical to commercial
success.
Our role
InnoScot Health welcomes fresh health and social care ideas. We receive over 100 ideas each year and have evaluated over 2,000 idea submissions since the organisation was set up.
Ideas are evaluated in the same way whether they are big or small, a product, service, or care pathway. We evaluate the commercial viability and potential to improve patient care and generate a revenue return.
“Putting forward your idea for consideration can be daunting, but it does not have to be that way. We welcome innovation from all levels of the NHS, and encourage ground-breaking thinkers to come forward."
Fiona Schaefer, Innovation Manager, InnoScot Health
